Kobe Bryant, Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe, sprinter Ge Manqi, gymnast Simone Biles and comedian-runner Kevin Hart band together to run in unison to propel the Earth back into motion after it apparently stops in Nike‘s ‘Running to make the world go round’ campaign.
The fictitious ‘Choose Go’ film begins with a news presenter announcing a ‘Stopocalypse’ which means that the Earth has stopped rotating on its axis. A protagonist watches a hamster run and starts running herself and asks everyone to join in to put the Earth back into motion, explained with a spinning globe by scientist Bill Nye.
People around the world are shown running until the news presenter announces that they were running in the wrong direction. Everyone then turns and starts running in the right direction.
As part of the campaign, Nike will offer audio guided runs through the Nike Run Club (NRC App) featuring voices from the campaign.
Staring tomorrow (March 2), Nye, Biles, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Hart, Colleen Quigley, Evan Jager and Mo Farah will each have their audio-guided runs (AGR) to offer guidance, motivation and inspiration to runners directly through in-ear audio with Nike’s top coaches.
Nike will further host physical and digital runs in cities from Los Angeles to Paris and Tokyo to Buenos Aries on April 22.
